Amoray is a family-friendly resort where kids can find lots of fun things to do. Our property is always neat and clean, with places for kids to play situated away from the highway. Palm-lined walkways lead down to the water and the beach area, where there is a protected lagoon for swimming and some kayaks for you to use for exploring the nearby waters. There’s a waterfront deck perfect for sunsets, with lounge chairs, tables and a hammock! The outdoor pool is heated (for those three chilly days in December!) and overlooks the Florida Bay waters. You can swim in the bay where you might see a starfish or even a manatee! Use of our snorkel gear is complimentary, and kids are welcome to join their parents for a snorkeling trip onboard the Amoray Diver. …Parents that want to go diving! …Kids that want to have fun and learn new skills!
Enjoy a morning or an afternoon dive with your significant other while our instructors supervise your kids in the ultimate hands-on classroom! Kids as young as 8 can learn about life on our coral reef, can learn to snorkel or can even learn to scuba dive! Check out these possibilities… Project Aware Half-day course with slides and other teaching tools. Kids of any age can learn more about our coral reef environment and learn to identify the fish that live on our reef. No water required for this class! $75. Skin Diver
Half-day pool session for kids eight or older. Kids can learn to "free dive" (breathe-hold diving) safely and for an additional fee receive a certification card just like dad and mom for "skin diving". $75. Bubble-Maker/Discover Scuba Half-day pool session for kids age eight and older. Introduce your child (or anyone who is curious about scuba!) to the basic principles of scuba diving in the safety of a pool. Bubblemaker sessions are designed to be fun and free of the pressure of completing any skills or task...just "blow bubbles" and have a good time! $75. Seal Team
Half-day pool session for kids age eight and older. PADI’s Seal Team involves a series of fun, goal-oriented "Aqua-Missions". Kids can complete a mission or two during each session until they are PADI Seal Team Members. Stickers are earned at the end of each mission, and if you purchase the PADI Seal Team materials ($75), kids will also have a logbook to record their dives. $100. Discover Snorkeling Spend a half-day on the boat learning the proper techniques and procedures so that you can truly enjoy snorkeling. Minimum age based on swimming abilities and conditions. $75. Discover Scuba Diving
A full day of fun! Kids age 10 and up can do the morning session of Discover Scuba in the pool, and then do two guided dives in the afternoon. A great activity for the whole family if you want to check out scuba diving to see if it’s for you! $200 per person includes everything you need for the day.
Junior Open Water Course Starting at age 10, kids can take the three-day course for their PADI Junior Open Water certification and get certified to dive with their parents. Sign up early so we can send you the textbook… you can impress your instructor with how much you’ve learned before you get here! $475 includes book, all instruction and processing fees, boat trips, tanks & weights and rental gear. Consider these cool combinations…Take a Project Aware Course in the morning, and do a Discover Snorkeling class on the boat in the afternoon with a focus on fish id, or, do a Skin Diver class in the morning and Discover Snorkeling in the afternoon so you can practice those skills in the ocean! Either combination is $150.
